Hey — I'm Yifan. I'm building a Chrome extension that listens to what you're streaming and automatically lowers the volume on sounds you don't want to hear.
Doorbells that set off your dog. Barks that wake the baby. Screams that make you jump off the couch. Whatever's too loud for your life.
It runs privately in your browser — no data leaves your machine. I'd love for you to be one of the first to try it.
Try it both ways.
Play the video first, then toggle this on and replay.
A doorbell rings on TV. Gina — my wire-haired dachshund — hears it and goes on alert. I calm her down. We settle back in. Then a dog barks on TV. Gina loses it. The baby upstairs wakes up.
Two sounds. Two filters. That's what 2Loud catches.
With 2Loud on, the doorbell gets lowered before Gina reacts. The barking gets lowered before it escalates. The baby cry stays — because 2Loud only filters the categories you choose. The rest of your audio is untouched.
P.S. Ironically, through the process of making this video and website, Gina has been desensitized to doorbells and barking on TV. She no longer reacts. Nice job, Gina.
No cloud processing. No data collected. Just more peace.
I'm building this now and sharing it with friends first. Drop your email and I'll let you know when it's ready.
